The Perfect Derma Peel

The Perfect Derma Peel combines powerful ingredients with effective acids (TCA, retinoic, salicylic, kojic, vitamin C, glutathione and phenol) to deliver outstanding results after one treatment. It’s the only peel in that includes the powerful antioxidant Glutathione, which lightens and brightens the skin, slows down the aging process and helps prevent wrinkles. It is safe and effective and used on all skin types and ethnicities.

• Discontinue any retinoids or tretinoin products 3-5 days before your peel to avoid excess irritation.
• Avoid other cosmetic procedures in the weeks before your peel.
• Do not wax or use depilatory creams on treated area 7 days prior to chemical peel treatment.
• If you are prone to cold sores, it is recommended take an antiviral to be taken several days before your peel to avoid getting a cold sore.
• If possible, wear minimal or no make up to your appointment, especially if you plan to peel the skin around the eyes. It's not absolutely essential, but it will make your prep go quicker and easier. Make up and other products affect the way the peel penetrates and even though we will clean and prep your skin, it's helpful to come with a bare face.
• Since you will not be able to apply any products after the peel application (not even SPF), it's suggested for you to bring a hat to wear after the treatment.

• The Perfect Derma Peel RX treatment includes a take-home Patient Home Care Kit containing all the directions and products you’ll need to care for your skin and maximize your peel results.
• Only use very gentle face cleanser.
• Avoid using retinoid or any other products that contains strong active ingredients for 10 days.
• Avoid using physical and chemical exfoliants.
• No sweating, excessive heat (sauna , steam room, or hot yoga), and swimming.
• DO NOT rub, pick or pull on the peeling skin, let the peeling occur naturally. Rubbing, picking or pulling may cause scarring or hyperpigmentation.

The Perfect Derma Peel requires no preconditioning of the skin prior to treatment. Only those patients who use Accutane must stop usage (4) months prior to treatment in order to achieve desired results.

The patient may feel a slight stinging or tingling sensation which will subside after 30-60 seconds. Numbing takes place once the first pass of The  Perfect Derma Peel solution is applied. A fan or cool breeze may be used for the comfort of the patient.

The Perfect Derma Peel application only takes 15 minutes to administer.

The amount of peeling skin associated with The  Perfect Derma Peel is mainly a sloughing of thin sheets of epidermis skin that begins around day three and generally is completed by day six or seven.

Immediately after the peel has been applied the skin will either appear red, like a sunburn, or darker. On day three, peeling will begin. The Perfect Derma Moisturizer will reduce the visibility of peeling by hydrating. By day six or seven the peeling process should be complete.

Normal activities may be resumed immediately post peel. We recommend avoiding heavy exercise and excessive sweating during the peeling process

The day the peel is applied the patient should not put any make up or other products on his or her face post peel. Make may be worn on day 2 of the peeling process if needed but not recommended.

The Perfect Derma Peel may be applied initially every four weeks if necessary. Thereafter, we recommend once every 3 – 6 months to maintain improved skin results, as well as to prevent further aging and environmental damage.

The face, neck, chest and hands are the most commonly applied areas. The Perfect Derma Peel can be applied to other areas of the body, but the process and the results will not necessarily be the same.

The Perfect Derma Peel formula was designed to help improve various problematic skin conditions, including acne. The Perfect Derma Peel helps minimize the damage and scarring that can result from acne. Glutathione helps increase cellular turnover thus reducing stubborn acne scars. A series of peels is required.

Depending on the severity of the scarring, a series of 3-4 peels spaced four weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. The number of treatments will also depend on how vigorously the layers are applied.

The Perfect Derma Peel will reduce or eliminate hyper pigmentation, sun damage and Melasma. It will control Acne and reduce Acne Scars. In addition, it will help erase fine lines and wrinkles, reduce enlarged pores and build collagen and elastin for a healthier, firmer complexion.  The overall tone, texture and clarity of the skin will be improved.

Skin will be more sensitive during the peeling process until the PH level is replenished.

Sun exposure should be limited if not avoided before and during the peel process to avoid uneven exposure.

• If you have allergies to any peel ingredients (Glutathione, Kojic Acid, TCA, Phenol, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin C and Retinoic Acid or Aspirin.
• Used Accutane within the past 4 months.
• If you have open wounds, sunburn, infected skin, cold sores, or lesions. If you  have history of cold sores (herpes simplex) may be given an antiviral 3 days prior to the peel.
• If you have recently had treatments such as waxing, electrolysis or chemical exfoliants.
• If you are undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiant therapy.
• If you have a history of an autoimmune disease or any condition that may weaken the immune system.
